While working at the airport for the past year this has been my go to lunch/ dinner spot and it never disappoints. Fish is always fresh, chips hand cut and crispy. The family who run the shop are always lovely even when they are slammed during the summer months. I have tried many fish and chip spots around Wellington and this is hands down the best. Pretty good price as well. I’m going to miss this place when I move back to Auckland.

Used to be very good but cost of living is taking a toll. The Pacific oysters I fear are not from NZ but imported Chinese oysters covered in batter. The fish is good and the chips are home cut and the family who run the business are lovely.

This place consistently rates well on social media but I have found their food very average at and sometimes unappealing. Possibly I have been unlucky. However they serve generous scoup ice-creams. Across the road from Lyall bay Beach they are very handy for snacks, drinks and ice-creams to enjoy on the beach.

Good fish and chips (and a couple of oysters) in Lyall bay. Tasty fish - chips were homemade and very good too. $22 to feed two people - a great lunch with the seagulls
